Where to start? It’s been about a year since my last post and I have no excuse other than my oldest son graduated from High School last May (2010) and it just threw me for a loop. I basically stopped blogging and Facebooking for the year — yes I know there is no direct connection here, but as they say “it is what it is”. I’m hoping to start the blog again, which might be made easier for me by the new iPad that my husband got me for my birthday and Mother’s day (don’t actually have it yet, however, as it is on backorder). It’s definitely been a very busy and productive year and I hope to share some of the images and thoughts from the year over the next few months. In March I won two First Place awards for High School Senior Portrait as well as Children’s Portrait. Two weeks ago I attended a workshop in Golden, Colorado where we photographed “senior models” in a train yard and around town. Total fun and got some awesome shots to share later. I will also be attending the Colorado Imaging Workshops in two weeks and that looks to be very educational as well as a great opportunity to hang out with many of my fellow photographer friends that I don’t get to see too often. Finally, my goal is to try to keep the blog updated regularly since I’ve almost lived through a full year of my oldest being away at college (playing baseball in another state, so we only got to see him a few times throughout the year). I’m looking forward to a busy summer of high school seniors! More to come…
